Good morning,
We are now in November and nearly through the end of the year; with that comes the holiday leave partway through December and so we only a few weeks of operations left this year I wanted to provide some updates on where we are this year. I will post in my usual bulleted list; as always if you have questions or need something please feel free to reach out to staff.
– Star Army hosted FallFest this year. So far, everyone has said Wes and his team did well. Thank you for attending for those who did, and thanks to Star Army for hosting this year. Remember that Babel and Khitomer will be coming up in January and at the end of February, respectively. If anyone has thoughts on how these events can improve, feel free to contact the organization hosting each event. We will begin preparing for SciWorld in March and hope it will occur in the late spring/early summer.
– We have begun migrating most of our third-party services to our own equipment. This process will take some time, but we hope that it will improve reliability, cut costs, and allow us to provide better services to the community at large. If you have thoughts on what we can put on this server once the move is complete, please reach out.
– Our sim is growing again! For those who have just joined us please remember to complete your bios and intro posts. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to a GM. We want you to enjoy your time here, so please reach out. Hopefully we can get some good posts in before the holiday (or even during it but obviously, with the yearly holiday LOA coming up there is no obligation to do so; it would be nice to see though.
My next post, unless anything critical happens, will be the annual report for the year 2024. I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday season.
