Child Safety Standards

As a member of the ASACP’s RTA (Restricted to Adults) initiative, our organization is committed to safeguarding against the exposure of minors to adult, mature, and age-restricted content. This policy outlines our standards regarding access, age verification, and how we respond to inquiries from parents or legal guardians.

1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

We operate several online spaces, including role-playing servers, narrative projects, support groups, and forums, that may explore adult themes, mature language, and emotionally intense or speculative subject matter not suitable for minors.

As such, we do not permit anyone under the age of 18 to access age-restricted areas of our network, including but not limited to:

  • Adult roleplay channels or forums

  • NSFW-marked creative content

  • Mature storylines or archives

  • Community management back-end systems

We are not a general-access space. We are a mature creative and peer support environment. Even in non-explicit content areas, users are expected to be developmentally and emotionally mature enough to engage responsibly with complex material.

2. Age-Gating, Verification & Enforcement

  • Users must be 18+ to register for age-restricted services. Age declarations are required and monitored.

  • We reserve the right to request additional verification if we suspect a user is underage, using falsified information, or attempting to access restricted content.

  • Any verified underage accounts found accessing restricted material will be suspended immediately, and further steps may be taken to contact guardians if necessary.

We take surface access very seriously, and we log and periodically review interactions involving age-restricted access points to detect policy circumvention.

3. Communication Protocols for Parents & Guardians

If you are a parent or legal guardian with concerns that your child has accessed content hosted by our organization, please contact us directly via:

Response Time: We aim to respond to all compliance-related concerns within 3 business days.

We will:

  • Confirm whether an account exists using the information you provide,

  • Identify whether the account accessed any age-restricted services,

  • Remove or suspend access immediately where appropriate,

  • Offer referrals to parental resources such as ASACP or Commonsense Media.

4. Our Stance as an RTA-Compliant Organization

We proudly comply with the RTA (Restricted to Adults) standard and actively configure our platforms to block known underage access. As part of this:

  • Adult content on any of our domains includes proper RTA metadata.

  • We opt into voluntary self-regulation systems that signal content restrictions to parental control software and search engines.

  • Our community leaders are trained to recognize and escalate suspected minor access to system administrators.

We are committed to ensuring that adult communities remain adult spaces—not by promoting exclusivity but by enforcing necessary safety protocols.
